Orchestra

November:  All orchestra students are diligently preparing for their Winter Concert

December:  Orchestra and Choir concert is on Dec. 8th.  The concert is for 6,7 & 8 orchestra, 6th grade choir, as well as Honor Orchestra!  The concert will last approx. 1hour to 1hr. 15 min.  ALL STUDENTS are expected to stay for the entire performance.  It is part of their grade and it is away that we can support one another’s hard work and see what musical opportunities are in the horizon.

Supply Lists:

All students should have Rosin, a cleaning cloth (NOT A POLISHING CLOTH).

The orchestra concerts are as follows:

Tuesday Oct. 25th: 7/8 the grade Band & Orchestra  6-9 p.m.

TH Dec. 8th: 6h Grade choir and 6-8 grade Orchestra concert

TH  Feb. 9th: Instrument Try-out Night 6-8:30 p.m. (volunteers only)

Sat. March 3rd: Solo and Ensemle Competition (All Day)  6:30 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Saturday May 5th: Music in the Parks  OR Heritage Festival competition:  ALL DAY

TH May 11th: Orchestra/Choir Concert Grades 6-8

*There is an orchestra festival at MVHS.  Information will be forthcoming.
